My Favorite Hawaii Photos

My year in Hawaii has come to a close, but the North Shore of Oahu will always have a little piece of my heart. I’m not a big souvenir girl (other than the postcard I collect). However, I do often remember places by the photos I take. Here are my favorite 33 Hawaii photos from every accessible island I visited (including the gorgeous reflection above captured on my roof).

One of the first Polaroids we capture in Hawaii during our trip to Maui in March 2021. This was taken a month before I made the move to the North Shore.

We drove past some sunflower fields on Maui and had to stop. I’m a sucker for sunflowers ever since our visit to Colorado.

One of my favorite pictures of Dan in Hawaii. This was taken at the Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens, which are absolutely gorgeous and offer completely free admission. We visited on Memorial Day 2021.

One of my favorite Polaroids to date. This was taken on the same day as our visit to the botanical gardens when we visited the Byodo-In Temple.

Posing in the Mermaid Caves on the West Side of Oahu. A Hawaii must!

Hawaii has some of the most gorgeous sunsets, and my apartment’s rooftop was an ideal viewing spot.

We took this at the top of the famous Pink Pillbox Hike on the West Side — a very sweaty July day.

Boats in Hawaii didn’t love me, but I love this picture of me on a boat in Hawaii.

But I did manage to rally to take this photo with friends from the island.

Mallory and I snapped this Polaroid on the dock at Secret Island.

This was snapped during Jake’s first visit out to Hawaii in August when we visited Lanai for a day trip.

We spent Dan’s 26th birthday at Secret Island with Mallory and Shannon. We took several photos that night that made it into this collection.

On the famous dock with gorgeous mountains in the background!

It was a Sunday evening, and we practically had the beach to ourselves.

A cute Polaroid that was snapped at just the right time (thanks, Shannon!).

In early September, Dan took me on a date to Kualoa Ranch.

Up on the roof with a school girl crush 😉

Hawaii has an endless summer, but we still tried to get in the fall spirit. This pumpkin patch had the BEST strawberry lemonade!

Clearly, we couldn’t get enough of the roof!

In October, we also took a trip to Molokai.

Another shot snapped in Molokai in October 2021.

If you squint, you can see the famous waterfall hike in Molokai.

We couldn’t see the Sea Cliffs in Molokai because of the weather, but I captured this photo at the overlook.

In November, we kayaked out to Kaneohe Sandbar for the first time.

Skipping through the holidays, my next favorite photo comes in February when we did the Dead Man’s Catwalk hike.

For Valentine’s Day, we visited Kauai. I tortured Dan by making him take this picture of me in the Tree Tunnel.

Not done with the torture yet…did I mention we did this at 7 AM on a 55 MPH road?

A Polaroid taken at our Valentine’s Day dinner. Delicious food!

In March, we said goodbye to Shaylon and Emily. They left the island after 6 months. We had a farewell meal at our favorite place to eat on the island, Maya’s.

I took these fun flower pictures on the beach after seeing some inspiration on Instagram.

Dan snapped this photo during the final days of my 150 Days of Rollerblading challenge.

As my days drew to an end on the island, I said goodbye to the car I drove for nearly 10 years. We snapped this Polaroid the day before I sold it to a young guy who just moved to the island.
